Allister Caird is a triathlete living in Perth, Western Australia. The laid back West Aussie is known for his running prowess. He is the current Australian Duathlon Champion, a nod to his triathlon strengths.
Taking up triathlon in 2012 with the inaugural Mandurah 70.3, Allister is a relative newcomer the sport. He started to find his rhythm after pushing his performances in 2014 with a 10th overall age-group placing at the Ironman World Championship, Hawaii the pick of the bunch.
This result set the stage for an impressive conclusion to 2014 with a strong showing at Ironman Western Australia, 8th overall in a time of 8:45:29, a new course record for the 25-29 age group.
Allister took his professional licence at the end of 2015 and has been working hard to develop his bike over the long course whilst still being able to progress the run.
The Stadium Triathlon Club member is currently coached by Adelaide based, former Professional Triathlete, Matty White.
